EDUCATION: Public schools, Holstein, Iowa. B.S. in Physical Sciences, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana 1951. Two years service in the United States Army. 1951 - 1953.
PRESENT POSITION: D/b/a McGuire Auction Co. Inc., Holstein, Iowa. Third generation in the same business, same community since 1888. Realtor, Auctioneer, Appraiser. Licensed in Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
EXPERIENCE: Jim has been in appraisal and sale of both real and personal property for an entire lifetime exclusive of schooling and service in the armed forces. He has attended various appraisal and real estate schools in addition to formal education.All schools were related to real estate and concentrated on agricultural real estate. Jim has been a licensed broker for over 40 years and has been involved in over 700 appraisals in the last ten years. These appraisals have included farmland, machinery and equipment, personal property, appraisal for the Federal Bankruptcy Court, various banks within a 50 mile radius, the Farm Credit Systems, Farmers Home Administration, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Inheritance Tax Appraisals for numerous estates. This appraiser has sold and appraised hundreds of commercial, residential and rural properties since being lisenced. Jim has also attended numerous appraisal schools and seminars sponsored by the Iowa Realtors Association, Board of Realtors and the Iowa Department of Transportation. He has been directly involved in the sale of over $100,000,000. of real estate and personal property in the past ten years.

EXPERIENCE: Have been in the appraisal sale of both real & personal property for most of my lifetime. Have attended various appraisal & real estate schools including the pre-certification classes for the state of Iowa. I have had a real estate salesperson's license since 1994 and a broker's license since February of 1999. This appraiser has been directly involved in sales of residential real estate averaging a half million dollars per year and approximately 3-4 million dollars
per year in farmland.
